Forgiveness

In the "Apostle's Creed" we believe in the "forgiveness of sins", in the "Our Father" we pray "forgive us our trespasses" and in the "Hail Mary" we say "pray for us sinners". We all make mistakes, but as we meditate today especially on the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary, we look to the image of Jesus nailed to the cross with His arms open wide to love us.

Physician: Pope John Paul Never Asked For Sedatives, Even In Most Intense Pain
APRIL 18 (Catholic World News) -- In an interview that appeared in the May 17-18 edition L’Osservatore Romano, Dr. Renato Buzzonetti reflected on his years as Pope John Paul II’s personal physician. “The physical pain, in the last periods, was intense, but for him there was above all the moral and spiritual suffering of a man on the cross, who accepted all with courage and patience: he never requested sedatives, not even in the final phase.”

The Month of May

"For this is the month during which Christians, both in Church and in the privacy of the home, offer up to Mary from their hearts an especially fervent and loving homage of prayer and veneration. In this month, too, the gifts of God's mercy come down to us from her throne in greater abundance." Pope Paul VI
